Magus – Nerfed Button Sequences (Path of Changing)

These are the sequence I use in my everyday game play to make my life easier.

Nerfed Buttons will not do everything for you and you still have to press the button for each and every skill on your sequence. Also I will advise against making massive sequences as they can get very complicated and cause more harm than good.

Note: You can not use channeling abilities on Nerfed Buttons because after 1 sec the global cool down comes on and the skill goes on cool down then the sequence moves to the next skill and it will interrupt the channeling ability.

I only recommend to use sequences with instant skills and or buff /debuff. The rest of the skills are usually circumstantial and its best to be used manually.

Note: The sequence does not know what you want to do so if you have an enemy at 1% and you want to use Rend Winds to finish your enemy off but your Demonic Armour  is out the sequence will first cast that and then anything else that’s out of cool down before using Rend Winds.

The sequences I recommend for you to use are the following:

Sequence 1:

  • Demonic Armour | Check: Effect | Stack Count 1 | Only Self (Yes) | Need (-) | Target (p)
  • Demonic Resistance | Check: Effect | Stack Count 1 | Only Self (Yes) | Need (-) | Target (p)
  • Glean Magic| Check: Effect | Stack Count 1 | Only Self (Yes) | Need (-) | Target (e)
  • Baleful Transmogrification | Check: Effect | Stack Count 1 | Only Self (Yes) | Need (-) | Target (e)
  • Withered Soul | Check: Effect | Stack Count 1 | Only Self (Yes) | Need (-) | Target (e)
  • Seed of Chaos| Check: Effect | Stack Count 1 | Only Self (Yes) | Need (-) | Target (e)
  • Mutating Blue Fire | Check: Movement (-) | | Check: Effect | Stack Count 1 | Only Self (Yes) | Need (-) | Target (e)
  • Pandemonium | Check: Movement (-) | | Check: Effect | Stack Count 1 | Only Self (Yes) | Need (-) | Target (e)
  • Rend Winds | Nothing

When you have a target just start using the sequence Demonic Armour and Demonic Resistances are there to buff you in case you are debuffed, just to make sure we keep those defenses up at all times. Then the dots will go in. IF you already have those buffs up the sequence will skip them but cast them if they run out or you are debuffed.

Dots are in sequence to debuff (Glean Magic) then deal damage. If you are out of range to use Glean Magic which is 65 feet the sequence will start with the next availible skill that is in range and if you get closer then it will switch to Glean Magic and check for effects and then move on.

We are hiding withered Soul behind 2 dots (useful if you are using Demonic Withering for the extra 15% damage so that it will not be removed instantly). Pandemonium needs to be used both manually or automatically. The sequence will use the Pandemonium if you are moving and have Flamer Demon and the buff other wise it is skipped.

This is to make sure that this skill will be used when you have the Demont buff. With out the demon buff you can use all the skill in the sequence except Pandemonium  thus you need to have it on your bar for manual use.

Remember that you can use all Dots even with 1 stack of the demon and that you can move up to 75 feet with out loosing stacks. Also if you move further you will loose full stacks around 120 feet from your turret. In addition you can resumon the demon  with resumon and keep moving and dotting.

Sequence 2 :

This is the smaller version from sequence 1. I use this to make sure that I am buffed and also to spam rend winds, when I want to burst, or finish a target. Rend Winds is your best single target spell in the path of Changing, it can hit for good amounts of damage and its spamable. In addition if you choose to modify your build it can be undefendable as well witht he right tactics. I always check for Glean Magic since Rend Winds is dealing Spirit damage to maximize its potential.

  • Demonic Armour | Check: Effect | Stack Count 1 | Only Self (Yes) | Need (-) | Target (p)
  • Demonic Resistance| Check: Effect | Stack Count 1 | Only Self (Yes) | Need (-) | Target (p)
  • Glean Magic Check: Effect | Stack Count 1 | Only Self (Yes) | Need (-) | Target (e)
  • Rend Winds | Nothing

As mentioned before everything else should be used manually according to the situation, such as interrupts, punts, demons, etc.
